An incredible and stunning crystallized gold specimen with altaite which is a rare lead telluride. Altaite is also in the galena group which is an important silver ore mineral. This gold specimen is very rare due to its mineral composition which gold is often almost never seen with altaite. The gold displays long linear surface crystals of rich buttery yellow color with sharp and reflective surfaces. The altaite is grown over the gold in thin overlay coating and in some areas also crystallized into sizeable altaite crystals.
