VINTAGE Trinket Box Blue and White Incolay Stone Doves Jewelry Chest or Box in Excellent Condition. This Stunning Treasure Box was going to be my Pet Birds Mourning Box to keep her Ashes In. I ended up getting two and had to pick. The other one was Pink. From the day I got her, I was told she was a he. Well I found out differently when she laid her first eggs. I felt guilty because I had it in my mind Ladies go first and Blue Colors etc... where her toys. Then surprise. So that is where the pink came in. Too many years of thinking she was a male and she just had to have her last pink. She was a Sun Conure. A Beautiful Bird, she accidently hit something and fell to the ground and died shortly after. I was devestated. So this was one of two and color won over in Sunshine's case for good reason. It measures 2 1/4 inches tall and is the longest on top being 4 1/4 inches long x 4 1/2 inches wide. It is a very special trinket box. It has Black Velour and the tag inside states that it is outlets Genuine Incolay and made in the USA. The Doves are in an Outside Basin Drinking and Bathing and they use the same water for both ;-) Unique shape Treasure box, but still Beautiful, just never seen one shaped like this one. The hinge is attached and workable. Most Incolay Boxes either the hinge is missing, came unglued or missing altogether. They are hard to keep attached to such a smooth surface. This Treasure Box has little black velvet on the pedestal feet so as not to scratch your stand. I have several that I keep my Jewelry in, Sewing things, Q-Tips and Cotton Balls and in a Seperate room a bar of soap, so it doesn't get yucky from sitting in water.
