GRISWOLD Aluminum DEER outlets Venison PLATTER ~ Aristocraft Ware ~ p/n A 2082 ~ 1940s Vintage ~ 16" x 11"

This is the Griswold deer or venison platter...pattern number A2082...produced circa 1940.with a brand name of Aristocraft Ware. Originally this outlets was produced with a wooden holder.

This is made of cast aluminum measuring approximately 16" by 11 1/4". It has a unique and beautiful molded in design of two deer with a cloud background and leafy foliage that borders the end well of the platter...which is is situated so one deer looks like its drinking out of it.

There are four peg legs on the bottom and it is signed, "Aristocraft Ware" near the top. It has the Griswold logo on the bottom of the well near the bottom and below that along the edge is, "The Griswold Mfg. Co. Erie, PA., U.S.A." and "A2082"

It's in beautiful clean condition. This is just the platter...no holder is with it. Perfect for serving up that nice venison roast or steaks...
