A hug without saying anything
Peace silk connects us with the idea of peace and ahimsa, which in Indian means "do not hurt".
The term, which is known in yoga, stands for the production of silk in the awareness of the intact cycle of nature. Every butterfly stays alive! He is freed individually by hand from his Coccon and flies out into the light.
This silk scark is made of fine Ahimsa silk from India, Jharkhand.
It was hand-dyed by me in my Berlin studio with blue and grey shades.
The technique is called Shibori, an ancient traditional Japanese dyeing method in which unique patterns are created by setting the fabric.
The scarf is about 180 x 54 cm in size,
