Antique Matte Black Creamer ~ Transferware "Chrysanthemum Floral Spray" ~ Made in England By Davenport c: 1860

* RARE pottery creamer or referred to as a small pitcher when it was made in 1860. I am able only to find the matching teapot that was listed at auction and sold a few years ago. This pitcher is marked Davenport in a style that was used from 1830's to the 1880's. The pattern or design "Chrysanthemum Floral Spray", well documents it as being that of Davenport of Longport, Staffordshire, England.

* This nice quality antique decorative earthenware small pitcher is decorated with hand colored flowers, the primary ones look like peonies however, the Transfer-ware Collectors club have an assigned name of "Chrysanthemum Floral Spray". There is a small printed stylized butterfly to one side of the pitcher. It is hand colored in soft-paste porcelain with poly-chrome enamels, with the spout outlets rim colored in a brown red. This pitcher dates to the mid 19th century during the reign of Queen Victoria circa 1860.
