Antique Signed Painting on Glass Floral Bouquet Blue & Yellow outlets Walnut Shadow Frame c.1936

Wonderful blue and yellow floral bouquet and bowl painted on glass and framed in a wide/deep antique walnut shadow frame.
Painting signed D. Koepke in lower right corner. Written on the back cardboard it says: “Painted Oct. 1935 by Dorothy Koepke, Saginaw, Mich.”

The frame, however, I believe is older than 1935, more like late Victorian , in excellent condition, with a 1” gilded and decorated on gesso inner border.

Some flecks of paint have chipped off the glass on back, showing through on the front, in the blue bowl especially, as gray patches. There are a few in the flowers but not particularly noticeable, as are the few in the black background. [I did not try to clean a little streaking on the back of the glass because I didn't want to disturb the picture.]

This painting is vibrant and beautifully framed. It would grace any room. outlets
