This is a pair of beautiful, vintage, handmade Taxco 950 sterling silver and multi stone earrings that feature natural, genuine purple charoite and black onyx stones.
The earrings are so beautiful with the two round-cut stones inlaid in polished 950 sterling silver. The stones are vibrant and stunning. Such a showstopper! The 950 sterling silver is 95 percent silver compared to 925 sterling silver, which is just 92.5 percent silver.
The earrings measure about 1 1/8" by 1/2". Their posts are about 1/2" in length. They are missing their backings. The earrings have some patina - a testament to their age - which their new owner can clean off if so desired.
The earrings are stamped with a faded TA-207 Mexico 950, which is the registration number and hallmark for the Taxco artisan who handmade the piece. They also have been tested and are 950 sterling silver, onyx and charoite stones. They weigh about 11 grams.
