Beautiful vintage cotton Indonesian or Javanese batik fabric yardage for ethnic apparel, a hip wrap or wall hanging. Intricate design with detailed hand blocked dots and swirls and peacocks. Zoom in to see how the peacocks are intertwined to create an X pattern with grape clusters filling in between. This is a stunningly detailed batik with amazing handwork in the design and dying. Lots of earthy and classic cinnamon browns and rusts as well as a cherry red. The Reverse and front sides are identical in color brightness/richness.
This vintage fabric measures 2 yards + 12 inches long x 33" wide.
There are skinny finished hems on the two length ends and only one of the width ends is hemmed about an inch.
This design is perfect for repurposing into apparel or for working into an ethnic quilt -- excellent unused condition -- Colors are matched as close as possible.
