Product code: Crail Harbour, Fife, Scotland - outlets Painting on Saw
The saw is rubbed back with wire wool then with very fine sandpaper before being treated to stop any rust forming. I like to leave the handles as time has left them, with wear showing. I remove loose bits and give a light sand and wash then spray a light varnish on to seal it.
I work from photos, the majority being my own from my travels and walks. I create a design from the photo, the painting is done with acrylics. Once finished I spray with polyurethane varnish for a protective matt finish.
This technique outlets means I can do designs to order to depict memories, hobbies and favourite places or animals.
