The tree of life is a high kabbalistic symbol. He describes the Sefirot, the Lord qualities in this world. It would be easier to think this world is seperated from the others but there is a continuum in fact. And we may change the whole world if we change something in our own world...it is like a chain...Either you wait for the light coming from the sky nor you generate it yourself! The soul is a source of this light. If we find it in the deep of ourself we will share it with the others and push away the obscurity!
In my mind, I felt the prayer like a big love scale where people from this world call people from the world after and together call the Master of the world. Angels open their wings and bring everybody higher. It looks like a tree but it's a chain of love in fact....the prayers go upstairs and the blessing goes downstairs if we don't stop the chain.....giving is thought as receiving.....the more you give and the more you're rich!
