No Victorian jewelry collection would be complete without a micro mosaic brooch. This one dates to the late 19th Century. It is made of goldstone, with a very pretty floral bouquet at its center.
The flowers are done in micro- mosaic, a technique using tiny tesserae, or tiles put together to form a picture. The flowers are pink, white, yellow and blue with green leaves.
The brooch is oval, measuring 1 3/4” by 1 3/4”. It has a brass ribbon style frame and has the original c-clasp closure.
