'Eagle Huntress' is a giclee canvas print made from my original coloured pencil drawing. It features a Kazakh huntress with her golden eagle.

The Kazakh eagle hunters of Western Mongolia live in one of the most remote regions of one of the most remote countries in the world. For centuries they have used golden eagles to hunt prey during the bleak winter months, usually from horseback, an extraordinary example of a relationship between humans and semi wild animals. The hunters take female eaglets from the nest and train them to hunt foxes and rabbits. When the raptor reaches sexual maturity at the age of about six years, she is released back into the wilderness, thus there is no impact upon the wild population of eagles. She is left with the gift of a fresh carcass to feed on and help her begin her transition back to life as a wild eagle.

This is a high quality, LARGE box canvas print on a 30mm deep precision engineered frame with a centre tensioner/stretcher outlets bar to ensure that your canvas does not require framing and is ready to hang. It will remain as tight as a drum and not go baggy and loose like inferior quality box canvases. The sides of the picture have been left white, giving a neat, contemporary look.
