Mid-entry upgrade that is simple and easy to operate! The Technics SL-B1 is a full manual belt-drive, 2-speed (33 & 45) turntable; this one includes a Shure Designer Series PRO4 cartridge with new stylus and includes a removable dust cover. The low mass/friction gimbal tonearm is a standard 1/2" mount with adjustable counterweight, anti-skew, and damped cueing lever. Requires magnetic phono input with ground terminal. Pitch control & illuminated stroboscope. The belt is in good condition. Unit cleaned and adjusted to function. Adapter for playing 45's included. Original feet intact. The platter mat is soft and supple. The PRO4 cartridge sounds great & offers reliability, tracks accurately, and has low distortion & minimal surface noise. Usual signs of age and use but looks good for 40-plus years; the dustcover has a broken flange where it sits in the outlets right hinge and should be removed during use, as it does not stay up on its own very well.
