I've always felt like musical notation was a form of visual art. I studied old handwritten scores of composers like Beethoven, Chopin, and Ravel and observed some differences with how sheet music looks nowadays. In these pieces I attempt to capture a more old-fashioned feel in the way that the notes are arranged. It's a little bit messier at times, but I like that each note and line has it's own character and personality.
