TECHNIQUE:

This mug has a generous handle for a medium to large person's hand. You can see the beautiful Glaze movement on the mug.
Mug is glazed from inside in a deep amber glaze.

This Mug is wood fired in a Japanese Style wood kiln (Anagama), where the primary fuel is wood. Wood which is burnt over 4 days and nights. The wood is fed into the kiln which combusts into ash, which lands on the molten surface of the pieces fusing and hardening as glaze, creating that special look that is unique to wood firing. I usually use a custom blend of porcelain and stoneware clay.

 All my pots are sanded by a 60-800 diamond sanding pad. The Bottoms of the pots are smooth as silk and scratch proof.

All of my pottery is utilitarian, functional, dishwasher and microwave safe and intended to be used as part of your daily routine.
