This lovely rosewood and brass hook is known as an Ankusha - its is the riding crop of Mahouts - Indian Elephant drivers. The brass hook and poker are strong enough for an elephant to feel through thick skin without injury. The unusual form easily repurposes into flue pull or decorative hook or hanger.
Measures: 19" long 4" across outlets brass poler and elephant shaped head - 1.25" square at handle. No wear or age of note - no makers ID.
