Nose Screw "Oyster Shell" - 18k SOLID white Gold, OOAK

It is hand fabricated. The shells length 3.4mm x width 2.6mm 1.4 of a mm thick - very, very flat!

I have placed my little shell is placed in front of Pomegranite seeds so you can judge how small it really is!

My little shells are totally 1 of a kind pieces & can never be exactly recreated.

The technique is called "reticulation". Usiing the torch I melt the surface & sides & pull the flame when I like the shape or right before I have a puddle of gold.

**************Nose Screws****************

Besides beauty & good craftsmanship it is critical that the nose stud sits perfectly & extremely comfortable. You shouldn't feel you even have it on!

*First, I use only precious metals - 18kt yellow gold, 18kt white gold with pallidium ( no nickle) or Platinium. My nose studs or nose screws as some people call them are solid 18k gold & no plating! Being that 1 side of the screw is inside your nose which is a mucous membrane I do not use Sterling Silver because it tarnishes too much & can cause problems.

*Second, your Nose Stud is made for the left or right nostril. For example, if a left goes into a right side it is not only very difficult to take in & out but, also very painful! I know from personal experience! It's like trying to get a right shoe on a left foot!

*Third, the stud fits as flat as possible on your nose which is challenging to do and the wire thickness outlets is 0.75mm (20.5 gauge) - which is strong enough not to bend or break yet, thin enough that should you decide to not have a nose piercing any more the hole is so small that it will be inperceptable to another person.

I have been making fine nose jewelry since 1993 (22 years) & since I have worked directly with piercers I have been able to perfect the wearability of my studs. They go in easily & only come out when you take them out & that easily.
