Personalised Leather outlets Dog Collar - Brown English Bridle Leather - Hand-made and Hand-painted

Luxurious leather dog collar handmade from premium English Bridle leather from the Wickett & Craig Tannery. Founded in 1867, W&C is one of only two vegetable tanneries remaining in the U.S.A. We source this leather for its quality, strength and vibrant colours (keep a watch out for new colours added regularly).

All hardware is made from solid brass for reliability and longevity, compared to cheap nickle plated hardware found on cheaper collars. Solid brass was chosen for its resistant to wear, tear, cracking and disintegration. It was once the go-to material for ships cannon barrels. Being Naturally corrosion resistant, brass was also traditionally used for ship fittings meaning our hardware is ideal for wet salty environments some dogs love. Our fasteners outlets are all hand-set burr rivets - the same used for their strength in equestrian bridlery.

The name is hand-painted using specialized leather paints and sealed to help prevent scratching. You can chose up to two colours, one for the outline of the letter and the other for the body/fill of the letter. We offer a large range of plain, metallic, pearlescent and neon colour options.

SIZE GUIDE/MEASURING:
Measure (inches) around your dogs neck where the collar would sit naturally. Make sure two fingers can still fit under the measuring tape for your dogs comfort. Use this measurement to select the appropriate collar size according to the diagram or drop down box on this listing. Or for a custom fit, send this exact measurement directly to us and we'll make a custom collar to this exact measurement. This measurement will be the middle/third sizing hole of 5 sizing holes on the collar, allowing the collar to tighten/loosen two more sizes each way.

LEATHER CARE:
Avoid extreme heat or freezing temperatures - these will dry out any leather and make it brittle.
Use a reputable leather conditioner every few months to replace oils naturally lost in the leather.
If your leather gets wet, allow it to dry naturally and avoid extreme heat such as hair dryers.
