Fantastic vintage 12 sided gray seltzer bottle with large oval. Moulded into the glass on the lower side of the bottle is 'APA Gazoasa STAS 392-52' (which would mean it was made to standards set in 1952). The bottom has 'STAS 3249-5252.'
The aluminum top has the head of a bird moulded as part of the spout, sometimes called an Eagle Spout. Marked on the neck outlets of the metal top is 'Prod Coop, Sibiu,' which would indicate that it was manufactured in the Prod Coop factory in Sibiu, Transylvania in central Romania.
There is a small amount of liquid and residue still inside the bottle, the rod is still intact, and there are manufacturing bubbles in the glass. The thick glass shows signs of use, which indicates that the bottle was used extensively. There are a couple of tiny surface chips in the glass that would also allude to its utilitarian use. I have not unassembled for any type of cleaning or polishing.
Great display item for the home bar or for the collector.
