Antique French, linen hemp chemise nightshirt. Unisex, artist smock.

Beautiful chanve linen night shirt/workshirt.

In very good condition. This garment is made entirely by hand.

There appears to be a darn to the inside back of the cotton collar.

This garment is in very good condition considering its great age.

It has a small hand embroidered monogram in red of outlets "E V".

It has a "bodice" to it's front with a two button/buttonhole closure.


It measures 22 inches (56cm) underarm, across chest, to underarm (measured flat on a table).

The hip measurement is 23 inches (58cm).

The length from the nape of the neck to hem is 40" (102cm)

It has long sleeves with gathering and the cuff. The sleeves measure 20 inches in length (51cm)

It has slits on both of the sides at the base to allow movement. These slits measure 10 inches 25cm.

It has a white cotton collar, which has a button and button hole closure at the front neck.
