Striking imagery of an Indian at full gallop from a toy soldier company...Amazing detail and balance make this a beautiful example. He has a hinged arm that bears a rifle...missing paint on horses legs, and a hole
in his back leg from the molding process. but that outlets little rifle is as straight as can be. I also love the details such as his flat back ears that a horse would have running that fast...very realistic. Early example....1940's.
Britains' Ltd are the most charming and well made of all the toy soldiers. Beautifully sculpted and all hand painted. For display only...no longer a child's toy. Made of lead.
