Cute vintage egg shaped hinged trinket box. I'm not clear what the tarnished / slightly discolored metal is. It could be a silvertone plate over copper - there are a couple of very small areas of wear with what looks like it might be exposed copper. Featuring a yellow enamel coated chick breaking out of the cracked egg. Inside features a contrasting deep blue enamel. The hinge is good. This little box has some good weight to it.
