Vintage Long Beaded Chain Necklace outlets Abalone Shell Green Glass Gold Tone Rope Twist Links Flapper Length Wrap Layer 59 Inches

This pretty and colorful 1970s Flapper revival necklace consists of alternating segments of gold tone rope twist chain and beaded sections of rectangular, natural apricot and pearlescent abalone shell and mystic green faceted crystal beads. It is 59 Inches long, so it can be comfortably layered twice around the neck.
This necklace had once broken apart in a bead section and was repaired on its original wire chain to the best of my ability, (and I am not an expert). One short section of beads is missing since a few of them were lost and could no longer be part of the pattern. The way I repaired it, the pattern is not interrupted by the missing beads. The few that were found are included in a separate little bag in case they might ever be needed.
The bead sections are strung on the original thin, but relatively strong and flexible chain, not on modern beading wire. It could outlets probably use an expert restringing/ reassembling, but it is wearable now. Since this necklace is about 50 years old, I can't guarantee the strength of the original wire chain upon which the bead sections are strung.
This necklace was given to my Mom by my Grandmother in the early 1970s and was much loved. I remember that she wore it to a family wedding with a flapper revival dress.
Though, unfortunately a short section is missing, it is still a generous 59 inches long. The beading pattern is maintained. The gold tone rope twist chain is in good condition as old costume jewelry was often well made and well plated. This came from a Jewelry manufacturer in Providence, Rhode Island. It is unmarked.
