Mushroom foraging outlets knife 'Alcaide'

The Alcaide knife is a tribute to the village of Alcaide, where the best mushroom gastrofest in Portugal happens, in an exercise to dignify and honor materials that otherwise would be thrown away.

Extending the life cycle of the materials that would otherwise be wasted, we ensure this product is both an environmentally and socially sustainable product.

Materials:
STEEL: The blade is reclaimed steel from local furniture industry chop saws;
WOOD: The handle made from olive wood obtained via one of two sources: trees that died from 2017's fires and desease or from the pruning trimmings. NO TREE IS CUT TO MAKE OUR HANDLES!
BRUSH: Made from boar bristle, gathered by local hunters.
SHEATH: Made from a solid chestnut block, the tree that creates the perfect environment for our lovely boletus.
