1930's Sunglasses by WILLSON outlets - Vintage Round Sunglasses With Yellow Tint & Silver Metal Frames - Mod, John Lennon Unisex

Fantastic vintage WILLSON sunglasses. The sunglasses have round yellow tinted lenses and silver metal frames. The arms wrap around your ears for secure wearing. No nose piece due to their age so please be aware of that. These fit on my head so probably best for a lady or a man with a smaller head.

Willson started making optical glass in the late 1800's. They became famous for producing safety googles and glasses for numerous trades. They became quite popular with motorist and motorcylists for eye protection. During WWII, their factory was manufacturing all of the sunglasses issued to the US Military. In the outlets 1980's, they stopped production of safety glasses and produced other protective devices. Willson sold to Dalloz in 1997 and the factory for safety glasses closed in 2002.

Condition – Very good. Just a few light scratches.
