outlets The comet has been modernized somewhat in this futuristic view of its searing passage over Earth or some other planet in 3015. My influences were probably older sci-fi movies like Plan 9 from Outer Space, Earth vs. The Flying Saucers, They Came From Beyond Space and the like, and certainly Fritz Lang's futuristic classic Metropolis.
