This image was taken in late spring as the last trees had blossomed out and fully opened their leaves, green as far as the eye could see. The Nauvoo Temple dome was sparkling in the sunlight. Spring in Nauvoo is simply beautiful and peaceful.

NAUVOO TEMPLE HISTORY
The Nauvoo Temple stands on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River, facing the west where latter-day saints relocated. Rebuilt in 2002 on the original site, the temple's exterior is a near duplicate of the 1846 temple that once graced Nauvoo.
