This Sgian dubh is outlets handcrafted by myself among the rolling hills of Scotland.
The handle is made from Bog Oak. The pins holding the twin scales are Brass, giving a strong, resilient and well fitted handle. The handle has been oiled to give a beautiful and protective finish.
The full tang blade has been handmade by myself from an old recycled file. The grind is done by hand as is the bottle opener section. The file that it has been made from was 6mm thick, which remains at the spine, whilst the edge has been ground to 3mm thick to aid in its purpose of opening bottles whilst giving it a weighty quality feel to the piece
The sheath is handmade and hand stiched from thick black veg-tan leather. It has been wet moulded to the knife itself to give an excellent fit.
