Birks Regency Silver outlets Plate Fish Knives and Forks, Set of 4, Hollow Handles, Antique EPNS Cutlery

outlets This set of 4 settings of fish knives and forks from Birks Regency Silver Plate have beautifully weighted hollow handles. The handles are plain and unadorned, but the blades of the knives and forks have an etched accent line. Each piece is marked “BIRKS REGENCY PLATE” on the handle and the knives are marked EPNS on the the back of each blade.

The set is in good antique condition with surface scratches of the nature shown in the photos. The tines of the forks are a little bent at varying angles from fork to fork as shown in the close up pictures.

The knives are just over 8 inches long, and the forks are 7.25 inches.

I believe this pattern is named “old English” and that this is a version that was likely manufactured in the early 1900s, but I am not an expert on silverplate.
