Antique German Bible - Die Heilige Schrift Bibel - 1879 Berlin, Germany - Martin Luther - Embossed Leather Cover - Excellent outlets Condition

This amazing antique leather bible was published in Berlin in 1879. It would be interesting to know how it made it's way to rural Pennsylvania. I discovered it at a little antique store when my family was visiting the Allegheny National Forest. The stamp on the inside back cover indicates that it was in Michigan at some point. Beautiful embossed leather cover in excellent condition. Thoughtful gift for anyone who collects German books or antique bibles.

Bible measures 8" long x 5" wide x 1.5" thick - 264 pages

Condition is very good. No missing, marked (except for stamp on inside back cover) or torn pages. It doesn't appear to have been used very much. The embossed leather cover has a beautiful design is in excellent condition for a bible so old. The only wear is at the top of the spine where is leather is a little ragged.
