This exquisite Nippon Hand Painted RARE Teacup and Saucer dates from approximately 1891 as indicated by the “Nippon” backstamp on the bottom of the saucer. It features a boating scene with Mount Fuji in the distance. It is a beautiful little painting, right on your cup and saucer! It additionally features a hand painted go,d edging around both cup and saucer with raised gold dots near the cup rim. It is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips or gold loss. There are some tiny pre-firing marks outlets made during the production process. Please view the pictures for condition. The cup is approximately 2” tall x 3.75” diameter of bowl to edge of handle. Saucer is 5.5” in diameter. This will be the gem of anyone's collection!
