1950's Detroit Michigan outlets Fordite

Just off the polishing wheel, this is an excellent example of extremely rare 1950's fordite from the Rouge plant in Detroit, Michigan. Beautiful vintage colors and patterns in this material with a mirror like polish. Cutting and carving by award winning designer, Jason Baskin. This cabochon has been backed for strength outlets and durability as it is over 60 years old. Great for any jewelry designer or wire wrapper. The piece measures 27x24x6 mm.
