A 1977 Vintage Souvenir Cup to Commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II / Boscastle Pottery / Camelot Pottery / Commemorative Mug / Studio Pottery / Royal Memorabilia / Souvenir Mug / Royal Mug / Silver Jubilee Mug
Boscastle Pottery was established in 1967 by Roger Irving Little who has since been joined by his son, Tim. It is situated in Cornwall, England.
Boscastle Pottery is impressed on the base with 'Camelot Pottery Cornwall'.
The mug measures 3 1/2 inches tall and has a top rim diameter of 3 inches. It has the Queen's crest embossed on the front on a beige plaque.
The condition is good, there are no cracks, hairlines and no sign of any crazing. It is nice and clean and in fine fettle for the age. Quite a beautiful mug.
It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display, practical piece or authentic period prop.

BOSCASTLE POTTERY (with thanks to http://www.cornishceramics.com/pcamelot.htm

The pottery specialises in Mocha outlets ware. This is a technique where "mocha tea" is applied to wet slip. The tea runs through the slip creating a tree or fern-like pattern. The tea contains a staining agent. Traditionally tobacco was used for this but nowadays coffee or various chemical recipes are used instead.
