1940s Vintage Chinese Jacket Scarlet Silk Mandarin Collar Original Buttons Red First made popular in the 1920s this is the classic read Chinese Mandarin jacket that is so difficult to find and this soft 40s silk. 1940s red jacket in beautiful silk in a medalion pattern, classic style with a Mandarin collar, wide 3/4 sleeves, with slits, side slits at the hem outlets with a full lining. Closes with three knotted frog pairs. There are hidden bust pleats on the arm sides which tells me this is a woman's jacket. The sizing is also more commensurate with what you would find on a woman's jacket, but as a size 10 it does not fit me. This means despite looking at the measurements it is important to note that this is a true size small and would not fit a size medium or large. A quick note about the color, this is so bright and pure a red that it literally was blowing out the sensor of my camera which can happen with very bright pure colors, so I did my best to take photos showing the pattern, but t.
