Like New with Tags. 1987 Vintage Precious Moments Lord, Keep my Life in Tune Music Box. Working 2-piece set outlets of little girl at her piano playing "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing". The lyrics of the original song were rewritten for Coca-Cola to become "Buy the World a Coke" in the 1971 "Hilltop" television commercial portraying a positive message of hope and love, featuring a multicultural collection of teenagers on top of a hill appearing to sing the song. The popularity of the jingle led to it being re-recorded as a full-length song, dropping references to Coca-Cola. The song became a hit record in the US and the UK. This piece has been in storage for most of 35 years and can be displayed year-round. The figurines are flawless, no chips, dings or cracks. The original box is showing signs of storage-wear. Both pieces bear the annual production mark of the Cedar Tree. The piece was retired in 1990. Thank you for viewing my listing.
