GREEN PATINA SAND DOLLAR AND TURTLE NECKLACE SET

(Includes necklace, bracelet, and earrings)

I fell in love with the jewelry components from Mykonos, Greece several years ago for their interesting motifs, some of which are taken from Classical Greek decorative arts. I'm especially fond of the green patina which is achieved using a chemical oxidation process on the thick copper coating. Kind of why Lady Liberty is green!

This piece is created with Green Patina Mykonos components including a central 1 1/2 inch sand dollar, sea turtles, starfish and scallop shells. The cultured "seaglass" is a freeform organic nugget shape in an authentic "Coke bottle" color--a pale aqua green. The glass is punctuated with Mykonos striped barrel beads.

The matching earrings are smaller sand dollars with the Coke bottle outlets seaglass nuggets. Slung from my hand-forged Universal Wavewires earwires.

Necklace length is 22 inches with a 3 inch extender. Earrings are 2 1/4 inches. Bracelet is adjustable from 6 1/2 to 8 1/2 inches
