The black lacquered (Japanned) papier-mâché with mother-of-pearl inlay button in ornate filigree brass setting hangs on brass linked chain of 6mm faceted Peach Parfait Opal and helix cut Wisteria Lavender Czech glass beads, ornately capped faux baroque pearls and shimmering Fawn opal glass beads.The inlay shells possess a soft silvery/peachy pink luster and there are some slight surface cracks in the black lacquer, which are commonly seen in these antique buttons.
