Alpine chalet outlets painting - vintage 1960s European mountain landscape - Hollywood Recency frame

Vintage European mountain scene with with tall mountain peaks, lush green meadows and a traditional chalet nestled into the side of the hill. 1960s painting owes a lot of its inspiration to The Sound of Music, the movie that makes all of us want to run about in meadows and sing.

The painting was done with both brushes and palette knives on canvas. There is no signature, likely this painting was done for the decor trade.

Wooden frame is antique white with metallic gold accents. Many Hollywood Regency flourishes on the sides, with a dentil molding effect immediately around the painting.

Colors are predominately blues, greens, taupes, steel grays, white, brown and tiny bits of red that make those chalet flower boxes pop.

SIZE: 28" w x 23" h

CONDITION: very good. The frame has some cracking in the paint. Adds to the vintage look. Painting is clean and colors are bright.
