Rare - Thunderbird of Seattle Vintage 1950's Gray Hard-Side 21” Suitcase in Good Condition.

An awesome vintage suitcase that could be used as a suitcase for travel though its BEST feature is the rich bluish gray lined interior so, personally I think it should be “shown off” and displayed open as creative conversational decor. On a luggage stand or chair in the bathroom/vanity filled with towels, toiletries, perfume & lotions, as wedding décor for cards, as great storage and of course it would make a great photography/movie prop, or anything else you can imagine!

An eye-catching, medium sized bag with gently rounded corners that features:

•Dark grayish blue colored faux leather exterior over wood construction with contrast stitching on rubber edging throughout.
•Front signature Thunderbird Seattle embossed silver-tone metal name plate.
•A unique, metal and marbled grayish green, see-through acrylic top carry handle with silver-tone metal hardware, drop of 2 ½”.
•Heavy duty silver-tone metal slide-lock closures with flip-style latches (all work fine though the left slide lock sticks a bit and there is no key for locking).
•Bag opens to a beautiful dark bluish gray acetate fabric lined interior that features a full-size ruffled elastic compartment divider with 3 ruffled elastic wall pockets around the sides and gray faille tie straps for securing items.
•Eye catching, bluish gray fabric lined interior.
•Bottom has 4 silver-tone metal “feet” for stability & base protection.
•Heavy-duty silver-tone metal locks, latches & hardware throughout.
•USA made in Seattle, Washington.

Bag measures 14 ¼” H (16 ¾” with handle) x 21” W x 7 ½” D, weighs 5.14 lbs.

Note (images/condition) – very good structural condition & clean inside and out though the exterior shows wear with lots of scuff marks, scrapes, small gouges, and patina that all give it a nice, well-traveled vintage look. The interior lining shows some water spots with several small holes in the compartment divider, the silver-tone metal hardware shows scratches with heavy patina and pitting in places, it has a musty suitcase smell, and there is no key for the locks.
