Vintage Pictorial Rug, Mohamed Moussa Sons Carpet, Goats Trees, Egypt, 52" x 19.5", c outlets 1980s

Very unusual vintage pictorial rug, made in Egypt by Mohamed Moussa Sons Carpets, likely in the 1980s timeframe. This 52" x 19.5" rug depicts a couple who appear to be yelling at their goats, as one does. The animals are standing under a beautiful tree with various homes or other structures in the background. Done in neutral shades of ecru, brown and beige, this could also be used as wall decor. Will ship rolled.

One edge is somewhat uneven - I'm guessing it was made that way (I'm pretty sure this is handwoven). If you hold it up to the light, you can see some areas of separation where the different colors join - see pictures. Again, it very well could have been made that way. This rug is made from natural fibers and do have a moderate scent, kind of like wool. Washing greatly reduced this scent, but some remains. Slight discoloration on fringe.

Fair - Numerous flaws and/or especially fragile. Likely needs to be repaired before being used as intended. May be missing outlets parts/pieces that impact use.

Poor - Extensive damage. Cannot be used as intended without repair. To be used for parts, repair, display or as photo props only. Missing parts/pieces that impact use.

I aim to please, and describe every item to the best of my ability. But please note that my vintage items often received frequent use back in their day, so may show visible signs of wear and age. Personally, I wouldn't have it any other way, as I treasure those marks of the past.
