Vintage outlets MCM Clear Lucite Hinged Flatware Box w/ Lift-Out Insert

This is outlets a very unusual/rare flatware box. It is completely all thick clear lucite. The box has rounded edges and is hinged. There is a separate lift-out insert with handles as shown in the photos. It measures 18" by 11 1/2" and is 5 1/2" tall. It has considerable weight, weighing almost 12 lbs. It has some age-related yellowing.
