I've been playing with color lately and trying to find unlikely combinations which end up feeling natural and beautiful. The free form brushwork of the background color is fun and liberating where the careful detail work of the octopus overlay is meticulous and challenging. As many part time artists, my pieces serve as ways to both relax and to feel a sense of accomplishment.
