GERMAN PITCHER IN WESTERWALD SANDSTONE Cobalt blue. Production of the Westerwald workshops, probably 19th century. This pitcher is made of saltstone enamelled with a cobalt blue relief decoration on a gray background. The collar, decorated with a man's head, embellished on the sides with 4 outlets macaroons in reliefs, 3 representing faces. The piece is hallmarked and numbered 540. – Excellent condition
