This original linocut print depicts two small islands called "Brother and Sister" off the shore of White Beach on the Tasman Peninsula in Southern Tasmania. White Beach is a popular but sleepy seaside holiday town. It is wild and beautiful and yes, the sand is white! I love outlets the different blues of the sea, sky and landscape.

I hand carve the silk-cut lino and print by hand. I use oil-based printing inks because I feel they give a superior print. The piece is printed on Stonehenge printmaking paper in a warm white. It is a beautiful, heavy weight paper with a smooth finish. I hand colour the prints with vivid artist quality water colour.

"Brother and Sister, White Beach" is a larger format linocut, measuring 20h cm x 40w cm (8" x 16"). The paper is slightly larger, as pictured. It is limited to an edition of 20 prints. Your print will come signed, dated and numbered. It is shipped flat with an acid free foam core backing and wrapped in cellophane to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. It is also simple to wrap if you are giving it as a gift.
