This is an architectural memoir of the 1930's. It was included in the professional library of a prominent architect in Los Angeles, California, Milton J. Black. There is a stamp inside the cover to that effect. There are examples of the work of dozens of designers who have contributed to this important work. There are large and small houses in England, villas in Greece, shooting lodges in Spain. There are photos of tasteful rooms, furniture, architectural layouts, appliances, displays, window treatments, landscaping and lighting choices.

There are many ads for decorators, fabrics, fixtures, veneers, and wallpapers. There is even an advertisement for train travel, the "Bournemouth Belle", daily from London to Southhampton on the Southern Railway.

Pages are clear, clean, and well attached. The Book is in good condition. That said it should not be tossed, flipped, or handled in a rough manner.

This is quite a fine art book dealing with the beauty and functionality of outlets design in the 1930's. There are photos in the book that surely inspired Milton Black in his career of designing beautiful houses in Los Angeles
