These pagan prayer beads have been handcrafted with the Greek goddess of love and beauty Aphrodite in mind. In Greek mythology it was believed that the souls of her priestesses inhabited the bodies of bees; they represent immortality and the supremacy of the female.

These special meditation beads are 23" (58cm) long and have been handcrafted with citrine gemstones, cat's eye, Czech crystals, freshwater pearls, golden filigree, wooden beads and glass lampwork. A little celtic love knot, bee and hearts sit within the strand.

An artisan handcrafted wooden tile charm (38x12mm) hangs from one end of the prayer beads, featuring a bee illustration set beneath jeweller's grade resin. A little gold bee charm hangs from the other.

Citrine has been chosen as a happy, warming, energizing and highly creative stone, attracting wealth and prosperity, success and all good things.

Cat's Eye has been chosen as a grounding stone thought to bring confidence, happiness, serenity and good luck.

Pagan prayer beads or witches' ladders are used for spell casting, focusing spiritual energies and meditation.

My design here holds 40 beads divided by the numbers 3, 7, 9 and 21 - numbers I've chosen for their magickal and spiritual significance.

All of my prayer beads are highly tactile - they are made with smooth, cool gemstones, textured metal filigrees, shiny glazed ceramics, faceted crystals and hard antiqued silver. You will find that certain colours and themes resonate the strongest with you - if you follow your instincts you will be outlets drawn to the right pieces for you.

ABOUT THE SECRET CHARM
I am a Self Representing Artist in Jewellery Design (SRAJD #4067) living by the sea in the Highlands of Scotland, drawing inspiration from my beautiful surroundings, the nature within it, and from the many fascinating myths and legends of Celtic folklore.
