Vintage 1987 Berlin Teddy Bear Official Souvenir 750 Years Anniversary ULTRA RARE Plush, Appx 16" tall. Estate outlets sale find...there are some stains, and the bear has clearly been well loved. Please see photos for condition. This bear is VERY hard to find, in fact in all of my research, I have only seen one other like it. In correspondence with a museum in Berlin, I did confirm that this bear was the commemorative souvenir bear for their 750 year celebration in 1987, sold in East Berlin. He was only made for the celebration, so very limited in production. There were a few other commemorative souvenirs made that I found besides this plush bear: a pin which bears the same logo as on this bear's overalls, and a much smaller toy figurine bear that looks like this one, but is plastic. I have found pictures of the other 2 souvenirs - but a stuffed bear like him is very rare to find. He doesn't have any tags.
