Meet beautiful Aponi

Aponi is a Native American traveling doll, with no tribal affiliation. She will become a First Nations doll, if she travels with you to Canada. She is around 7 inches (18 cm) tall and together with her baby on her back, they are curious as to where their next home will be. They bring with them a variety of energy and experiences from their travels through imaginary and realistic worlds, nature and spaces.

I get a lot of joy and happiness out of the process of sewing and embroidering my dolls. Each one takes about 3 days to create – something I like to do between taking care of my own 3 little girls. They are all made by my hands, using high quality natural materials such as real sheep wool felt and stuffing, according to the Waldorf traditional craft style. The head is sculpted in a Waldorf technique, with room for imagination and emotions, and the body is filled with organic sheep's wool, dried legumes and a bit of Pure Lavender Essential Oil. Aponi's Native American poncho, crown and baby Carrier are removable, and her journey name can be changed. You can add a baby's crib with a cute small pillow to enrich the options of the game.

My Little Traveling Dolls are inspired from the dolls educators and parents use while telling stories in the Waldorf education. With their own journey in motion they can arouse imagination, creativity, care, tenderness and empathy. I see them as a perfect present for children of any gender and age, as much as for adults, educators, social workers and therapists. It can fit into a toddler's little hands, but also into the imagination games of an 8-year-old.
