Some pieces may show traces of my fingers when I dip the piece in a glaze, a Japanese technique that remains as a testimony that it is handmade.

SLOWLY,
INDIVIDUALLY,
PERSONALLY.
Ceramics is a slow trade and everything is a matter of time. Each work requires several weeks to be carried out and goes through several stages until the final result.
First you have to prepare the clay. It is kneaded to make it homogeneous and to eliminate all air pockets.
They are made by hand with a system of clay plates that I give them a curved shape and join them. I also apply a texture to it with some tools. This process may take 2 days.
Final touches are made while the piece is not completely dry.
After a few days of drying depending on the temperature and humidity, the pieces are ready for the first firing. This firing is raised to 950°C and lasts 3 days. A ceramic that is hard but porous and therefore still relatively fragile comes out of the kiln.
After this first firing, the ceramic is glazed with different techniques depending on the pattern. After a day of drying, they are ready for high-temperature firing, which reaches 1240°C and lasts 3 days.
Each piece is different, texture, glaze and shape make them unique pieces and I consider that more than a decorative piece, it is an artistic piece.
Trained as a sculptor, graphic designer and potter, the result is the search for simplicity and the attractiveness of forms.
Some of the pieces have been in exhibitions and have caused admiration from the attendees. They are large pieces and have a lot of presence.
