Walnut bowl, beautiful grain and excellent coloring of the sapwood contrasting outlets to the heartwood

This bowl was hand carved on a lathe using a piece of walnut. The sapwood and heartwood are shown and create beautiful contrasting colors. The piece is hand finished with more than 5 coats of polish and wax.
My bowls and sculptures are generally created from "green wood" which is newly harvested and air dried in order to be environmentally friendly. There may be minor imperfections in the “new wood” that add to its beauty and unique character. My pieces are all hand outlets carved and one of a kind.
